Founded in 2009 by Tyrone Z. McCants, Zire Photography and Graphics, LLC is a Black-owned business based in St. Louis Missouri, with operations in Arizona, Atlanta, New Jersey, New York, and Maryland under the influence of Gordan Parks, Melvin Van Peebles, and Spike Lee who are all prominent Americans notable in the fields of multimedia, film among others.
Having worked for 15 years in the disciplines of juvenile activism and counseling, family advancement, community outreach, McCants was forced to found Zire Photography and Graphics, LLC when the global recession slammed New York’s markets in 2007 abandoning normal employment leveraging his experience as a silver lining to follow his dream to do photography. McCants established Zire Photography in under two years and even returned to the community in 2011 in his previous line of employment.
ZirePhotos has a broad customer base and is one of the country’s leading black photography and multimedia digital companies, availing multimedia services, advertising, marketing, digital as well as conventional advertising, experiential marketing, CSR advice, diversity, and inclusion to its customers with a base of clientele such as Brooklyn Bodega, Gateway Arch Park Foundation, ESPN, Toyota to mention but a few.
With over 11 years of experience in multimedia, journalism, marketing, planning, business development, and top management, Tyrone Z. McCants has established and nurtured many businesses, creative initiatives, and community outreaches providing guidance, leadership as well as developing digital content for several initiatives including Jazzy Nights and Blues, Proud Poppas United, The What Is Hip-Hop Project, as well as The How We Are Connected Photo Exploration Project (THWACPEP).
Tyrone Z. McCants is credited for creating and co-founding Soultanicals, a family-owned company that makes vegan handcrafted natural hair and skin care products available in over 5,000 global locations, including large retailers like Walmart.
Mr. McCants was honored by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz with a Certificate of Proclamation for his involvement in the Proud Poppas family development initiative exhibiting photography to that effect in institutions and galleries around New York City from 2008 through 2015.
